Candy Disaster - Tower Defense launched its official 1.0 release on November 12, 2021, completing the base game with snow levels and new traps. After launch, the developer (Klaus at ACE Entertainment) continued to ship updates: a content patch in May 2022 (version 2.1.0 with new traps and language support), a significant update in March 2023 (redesigned levels, Pirate's Loot system, trading cards), and then the version 3.0.0 update in July 2023 which added the Arcade Trap Pack and a Daily Challenge mode — announced on June 29, 2023 and released on July 27, 2023. Following the July 2023 update, the developer's focus shifted to the sequel, Candy Disaster 2: Trap Master. A demo went live in August 2023, a prologue released in October 2023, and the sequel launched into Early Access on November 13, 2023. Since then, the only communication about the original Candy Disaster was a minor bug fix on September 26, 2024, addressing achievement unlocks — a maintenance patch rather than new content. There are no unreleased DLC items, no announced future content for this game, and no roadmap pointing to additional updates. The sole DLC (the Original Soundtrack) was released before the game itself, in September 2021. The developer has clearly moved on to building and supporting the sequel. The last substantive content update was the July 27, 2023 version 3.0.0 patch, and there is no indication further content additions are planned for this title.

A Wide Variety of Traps: From the good old spikes and cages, to whimsical devices with fun yet deadly effects! Set up human cannons to load up passing goons as cannons, or lay down springboards to toss them into water for sweet environmental kills!
