CANINE launched on May 10, 2023 as a self-contained PSX-style horror game. After launch, Puko shipped several updates adding features and content: a language and AI patch in May 2023, an AI fix in August 2023, and a substantial free update (v1.3) in October 2023 that introduced a new Hardcore mode, new AI system, new achievement, and settings options. The most recent update, v1.4 on November 12, 2024, added speedrun-friendly credit skipping and optimization improvements.
There is no DLC, no season pass, and no announced future content for CANINE. The August 2024 post from Puko was an announcement for an entirely new game — Lost Diskettes Vol 1 — not additional content for CANINE. The developer has not made any statements about further updates to CANINE since November 12, 2024, and there is no established pattern of major content releases that would suggest more is on the way. The game appears to have shipped as a complete product and received post-launch refinements, with the last meaningful update arriving in November 2024.
