Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions launched on September 28, 2020 and received a multi-year post-launch content program. Paid character DLC arrived in waves: the original Character Pass characters shipped between December 2020 and April 2021, followed by the "Episode: Rising Stars" Mission Pass content in three parts from March through November 2022. The final content drop — Episode: Rising Stars Part 3 featuring Kojiro Hyuga, Carlos Bara, and Jun Misugi — shipped on November 16–17, 2022. All 21 DLC items on the store are released, with the most recent dated November 2022. No developer communications about new content for this game have appeared since November 2022. The developer's focus has shifted entirely to its sequel: CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS was announced on February 6, 2026 and launched on August 28, 2026. The announcement explicitly described the sequel as surpassing Rise of New Champions in content volume, reinforcing that the original title's content lifecycle is complete. There is no roadmap, announced DLC, or update of any kind pending for Rise of New Champions.
