Since launch, the developer has shipped 21 paid DLC packs — covering licensed car brands (Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, Nissan, Porsche, Mazda, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler, Jeep/RAM, and more), thematic packs (Drag Racing, Hot Rod, Taxi, Police, Pickup), and customization content (Rims, Rims 2) — at a consistent pace of roughly one release every 2–4 months.
The most recent DLC, the Pickup DLC, released on July 7, 2026 — just six weeks before today's date — confirming that content delivery for this title is actively ongoing. The August 13, 2026 sale announcement also promoted the Pickup DLC as the newest addition, further confirming the game's continued content activity.
The developer is simultaneously building toward their next entry in the series: Car Mechanic Simulator 2026 received a single-player demo on March 30, 2026, and is planned for 2026 release. However, the developer has not announced the end of DLC support for CMS 2021. With the Pickup DLC shipping as recently as July 7, 2026 and no statement declaring content development complete, the sustained DLC cadence is clearly ongoing.
