Evaluation
Cards of Cthulhu launched on October 11, 2016 as a complete roguelike card RPG. The developer, Awoker Games, then shipped two free major content updates: Update 1.1 on December 20, 2016 (adding 11 new cards, 10 updated enemies, and a new Heroic Mode campaign) and Update 1.2 on February 28, 2017 (adding 10 more new cards, expanding enemy rosters, and upgrading the game engine). After February 28, 2017, no further developer communications, patches, or content announcements have been recorded. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no roadmap pointing to anything still to come. The game appears to have reached its final state with the February 2017 update, nearly a decade ago.
Evidence
Update 1.2 shipped 10 new cards, expanded enemy AI, upgraded the Unreal Engine version, and fixed several bugs. This is the last recorded developer communication.
Update 1.1 shipped as a free content update adding 11 new cards, 10 updated enemies, a new Heroic Mode campaign, and 9 new quests.

About this game
In a sci-fi world from B horror movies, Cards of Cthulhu allows you to build your own deck of insane spells. Use them to defeat the terrible henchmen of Cthulhu and rescue your girlfriend that was kidnapped.
How does it play? The game is fast-paced and easy to learn, however, mastery requires foresight, improvisation and dexterity. In the deck building phase, you must analyse two options of cards and build a deck that has both synergy and specialization. In the combat phase, your cards are shuffled and only 3 cards will go to your hand. You then have to quickly improvise a combination to deal damage to the opponent, that can react and surprise you, forcing you to adapt to the circumstances.
Where is the Roguelike part? When you are killed, you will have the opportunity to build a new deck. Enemies will re-organize in new groups for a new experience. But don’t worry, you won’t start from zero. Permanent rewards will help you progress in your quest.
