CASE 2: Animatronics Survival

CASE 2: Animatronics Survival launched in February 2019 and has remained in continuous development since, with two separate teams working on the game's story mode and multiplayer mode respectively. On the story side, a teaser trailer published on November 14, 2025 introduced Episode 05, explicitly described as "the final episode, which will conclude the storyline in CASE 2." This episode has not yet been released, so the game's story content remains unfinished. On the multiplayer side, a March 6, 2026 patch (0.9.0) upgraded the game to Unreal Engine 5 and added a new Forest map, but the developer stated in that same post that it would be the last multiplayer update to include new content — future multiplayer updates will be limited to bug fixes. A subsequent feature patch (0.9.21) on April 16, 2026 continued to deliver story mode improvements and new gameplay systems, confirming the story team is still active. Most recently, on August 21–22, 2026 — just days before this assessment — the developer announced CASE: Animatronics Redux, a reimagining of the first game in the series. This announcement signals that the studio is actively engaged with the franchise and directing resources toward a new project. The October 30, 2025 developer post from the multiplayer team confirmed that the story team is separately working on other games in the CASE universe, consistent with the Redux announcement. A studio distress signal from August 2022 was resolved in that same post — the team found a solution and has continued development without interruption since. Episode 05 of the story mode remains the outstanding commitment for CASE 2 specifically. Anyone waiting for the complete story experience should wait for that episode to ship.
