Castle Break launched on February 19, 2019 and received several updates over the following year. On June 15, 2020, the developer explicitly announced "Castle Break v1.5 - the final update," describing it as "Finally the last update!" and shipping new VFX, save functionality, a new Random mode, and achievements. This is a clear, direct statement from the developer that content development was complete. Posts after that date confirm the developer moved on to new projects (Zero Orders Tactics and Zero Stress King), but they continued to maintain Castle Break with occasional bug fixes and quality-of-life patches — most recently fixing a Steam Deck crash on March 16, 2026 and achieving Steam Deck Verified status in October 2025. These maintenance updates are consistent with a completed game being kept in good working order, not a sign that new content is planned. The developer has not announced any additional content for Castle Break at any point since the June 2020 final update declaration.
