Castle Doombad Classic launched on December 12, 2024 and has received a steady stream of substantial content updates ever since. Six major updates have shipped since launch: a large feature update on May 7, 2025 (new trap, daily challenges, 14-language localization); the "Summer of Screams" seasonal event on July 25, 2025; the Axe-o-Matic new trap update on August 27, 2025; the "Trap or Treat" Halloween update on October 31, 2025 (a new 15-stage chapter, the first new chapter in over 10 years); a Holiday update on December 19, 2025 (new trap, six seasonal stages); and most recently the "Endless Knights" major update on September 17, 2026, which introduced a brand-new endless mode with dozens of new stage layouts, new loot, new hero variants, skull modifiers, and the return of the Summer of Screams event with new rewards. This establishes a clear and sustained pattern of major content drops roughly every 1–3 months, supported by additional feature patches and bug fixes in between. The September 17, 2026 update is just one week before today's date, meaning the developer is actively engaged and the game is squarely within its established update cadence. No announcement of development concluding has been made.
