Castle Warriors

Castle Warriors is a two-person indie project that entered Early Access on February 23, 2023. In its first seven months, the team was fairly active: they shipped four major patches (0.2.0 through 0.5.0), numerous smaller balance and bug-fix updates, and maintained regular communication with the community. Their most recent major release, Early Access 0.5.0, shipped on September 21, 2023, introducing unit sound effects, reworked achievements and quests, new dragon visuals, and a progression overhaul. On September 26, 2023, the developer published Roadmap #1, announcing that the two-person team was committing to full-time development for the remainder of the year and that Patch 0.6 would arrive around mid-November 2023 with major performance improvements and combat system rewrites. That post is the last communication from the studio. Patch 0.6 has never appeared, mid-November 2023 has long since passed, and there have been no updates, announcements, or community posts from Cluck Games since September 26, 2023 — a silence of over two and a half years as of June 2026. The game remains available on Steam in Early Access, the store page still describes it as a work in progress with more content planned, and the promised Patch 0.6 remains undelivered. The prolonged silence following a public roadmap commitment raises serious questions about whether development is continuing.
