Celeste launched on January 25, 2018 as a complete, narrative-driven platformer. The game received one major post-launch content addition — Chapter 9: Farewell — a free expansion that shipped on September 9, 2019, which served as a final chapter and conclusion to the game's story. The developer has since described this as the end of Celeste's content development. The only DLC listed on the store is the original soundtrack (released June 21, 2019), which is not a gameplay content expansion. The most recent substantial developer communication was a March 29, 2021 patch (v1.4.0.0) that added accessibility improvements and control rebinding options — a maintenance-oriented update rather than new content.
