Challenge Speedball launched on January 13, 2021. In the weeks and months following launch, the developer shipped a series of feature updates: a new aiming system (January 21, 2021), spectate mode (January 29, 2021), custom sign displays (February 3, 2021), first-person view and achievements (February 13, 2021), spectator player toggling (February 25, 2021), and finally custom sprays (April 11, 2021). After that April 11, 2021 update, there have been no further developer communications of any kind — no patches, announcements, or posts of any sort across the 25 posts scanned. That's more than five years of silence as of today (June 25, 2026). The game has no DLC listed, no unreleased content announced, and no roadmap or future content commitments were ever made. The developer never stated the game was "complete," but the pattern of post-launch polish updates ending in April 2021 with zero communication since strongly indicates development has concluded. There is nothing to suggest additional content is coming.

About this game
Challenge Speedball is a cooperative multiplayer game based on the paintball variation called Speedball.
In this fast paced competition, teams of 1 to 5 players occupy a small playing field filled with inflatable "bunkers". Each team tries to eliminate each others players by "marking" them with paint until they are all eliminated. They can also win by reaching the other team's home base.
Each game match is timed typically depending on the number of players: 2 players play for 2 minutes, 10 players play for 10 minutes.
Each team will score 5 points through elimination of the other team's players and/or reaching the other team's home base.
Each team will score 1 point for lasting the duration of the game without being eliminated.
Design your own playing field! Challenge Speedball provides a field design utility that lets the player design their own custom screens, which can be uploaded to Steam Workshop and shared with friends and the global community.
Players may also customize their player with team colors and image logos. These can also be uploaded to Steam Workshop and shared.
