Chasing Tails ~A Promise in the Snow~ launched on August 13, 2021 as a complete visual novel with multiple endings, two romance routes, and an 18+ adult content DLC. All three listed DLC items — the adult patch, an artbook, and a "tip the dev" item — were released within days of launch (August 14–23, 2021). The developer released several patches in the weeks following launch to fix bugs and add minor polish, with the last meaningful update being Patch 1.07 on December 14, 2021, which added new artbook pages and updated the Korean translation. Since December 14, 2021, there have been no further updates or announcements specifically about this game's content. The February 2023 news post referencing Chasing Tails was simply a cross-promotional sale announcement tied to the launch of a different title (Selene ~Apoptosis~), not a signal of new content for this game. The developer has continued releasing other titles under the Nupu Neko Dev label, but there is no indication of any planned additions to Chasing Tails. The game shipped as a self-contained story and all accompanying content has been delivered.
