Chatventures

Chatventures launched on April 9, 2020 and was actively developed throughout early 2025. The developer migrated the project to a newer version of GameMaker in February 2025 (v1.2.2), explicitly stating this would "enable future updates again." That was followed by a rapid series of major updates: v1.3.0 on February 18, 2025 (Bigtown Sewers dungeon); v1.3.1 on February 28, 2025 (new city Medio, auto-attack, rune system); v1.3.2 on March 6, 2025 (hair salon, new weapons and commands); v1.3.3 on March 7, 2025 (daily attack event, new boss, end-game gear); and v1.3.4 on May 2, 2025 (fishing, Bigpit Arena, more Medio content). The May 2, 2025 update (v1.3.4) — the last communication from the developer — explicitly noted that Medio city "is still not done," signaling that further content was planned. The v1.3 series was also framed from the start as a series of planned updates, with v1.3.0 described as "the first of the v1.3 updates planned." However, as of October 8, 2026, the developer has been completely silent for over 17 months since that May 2, 2025 post. This is far beyond the 1–3 month cadence the developer maintained throughout early 2025. With outstanding content commitments unmet and no communication from the developer, it is unclear whether development is continuing.
