Chef: A Restaurant Tycoon Game

Chef launched out of Early Access on August 20, 2020, and was followed by three paid DLC packs: Eastern Asian Cuisine (May 26, 2021), Pizza & Baked Goods (July 18, 2022), and Cocktails & Drinks (May 15, 2023). All three are listed as launched, with none pending. Free updates arrived steadily from 2021 through 2023, and the last major content update in the news available here is the Cocktails & Drinks release of May 15, 2023. On October 3, 2023, the developer announced its next game, Dustgrave, and described one more Chef update as work being done in its spare time. No later post announces further Chef content or a roadmap. A feature update dated October 12, 2026 adds five new ingredients, a major performance overhaul, lighting and visual improvements, and a long list of bug fixes, timed to celebrate 100,000 copies. It is the only post shown after October 2023, and it is framed as a celebration release rather than the start of a new content schedule. The game is treated as complete, with its content finished as of May 15, 2023, the date of its last major addition. Confidence is moderate because the October 2026 update shows the studio is still working on the game, which could mean more updates follow.
