Chernobylite has reached the end of its content development lifecycle. On May 31, 2024, The Farm 51 released the "Chernobylite: Complete Edition" — a free update that bundled the base game with all previously released seasonal content (Monster Hunt, Ghost Town, Seasons 1–4) and introduced the final paid cosmetic DLC (Black Smoke Pack). The developer explicitly described this as the "final major free update" for the game. All 10 DLC items listed on the store are released, with the most recent being the Black Smoke Pack on May 31, 2024. Since that release, the developer has continued maintenance work — a Steam Deck compatibility patch in January 2025, a feature patch adding Intel XeSS support in November 2024, and a small hotfix in November 2024 — but these are technical improvements rather than new content. The studio's focus has clearly shifted to Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, which launched into Early Access on March 6, 2025.
