Chinatris launched on January 2, 2020. Following launch, the developer added content through 2020: a Spring Festival special stage (January 24, 2020), a new Infinite mode with achievements and English language support (April 20, 2020), controller support and additional achievements (June 25, 2020), and character explanation features (September 28, 2020). The last developer communication was a bug fix patch on January 14, 2021, resolving a macOS Big Sur compatibility issue. Since that date — now more than five years ago — there have been no further news posts, patches, feature updates, or announcements of any kind. The developer has not announced any upcoming content, DLC, expansions, or continued development. With no unreleased DLC on the store, no outstanding promises, and a sustained silence since January 14, 2021, the game appears to have reached its final state.

Chinatris is a Tetris-like game about Chinese characters where you combine different Chinese character components to create new ones. To clear each stage, you must create the target characters. While playing you will meet many new and surprising characters that will give you a different look of Chinese culture.
