Chivalry 2

Torn Banner Studios has explicitly declared Chivalry 2 content complete. In a July 30, 2024 post signed by Studio President Steve Piggott, the developer stated that the Regicide Update — released on May 22, 2024 — was "the game's 11th and final content piece" and that "with the Regicide Update we consider the game to be content and feature complete." The studio had pledged at launch to at least double the game's content post-release, and by their own accounting they delivered 11 major updates over roughly two years, adding new maps, weapons, game modes, a mounted combat system, a new faction, and hundreds of cosmetic items. The Regicide Update specifically brought the game's story to a narrative conclusion. The developer confirmed that online services — official servers, unofficial servers, and matchmaking — will remain available, and that critical bugs will still be addressed. This is reflected in a December 9, 2025 stability hotfix (2.11.4), which confirms the game is still being maintained but not actively developed for new content. Both DLC entries on the store (the Special Edition and King's Edition bundles) were released at or shortly after launch in 2022 and contain no unreleased items. No further DLC has been announced. Players waiting for all content can consider the game complete as of May 22, 2024, the date of the final Regicide Update.
