Circuits launched on April 17, 2014 as a musical puzzle game with 25 songs. In the months following launch, the developer shipped bug fixes and content updates, including a promised song from composer Chipzel. The biggest post-launch addition was the Circuits Composer — a free music creation tool announced in October 2014 and released on April 12, 2015. A follow-up update on November 8, 2015 added Steam Workshop integration to the Composer, allowing players to upload and share their own songs and sounds. That November 2015 update is the last recorded developer communication. No further content, roadmap items, or developer posts have appeared since then. The game's store description does not reference any planned additions, and there are no unreleased DLC listings. With over a decade of silence since the final update, the game appears to have launched as a contained product and reached its completed state with the November 2015 Workshop update.
