City Idle launched on September 8, 2023. Post-launch developer activity has been minimal: a feature patch on October 4, 2023 and a bug fix on October 6, 2023 in the weeks immediately following launch, then a single small bug fix on January 2, 2025 addressing a zoom issue on smaller screens. That January 2025 post is the last known communication from the developer. In total, only 3 posts have been recorded since launch — none of which announce or hint at new content, expansions, or a development roadmap. The store description describes a game spanning multiple time periods and mechanics, but reads as a description of the existing game rather than a promise of future content to be added.
