On March 13, 2024, Playsaurus announced they were removing Clicker Heroes 2 from sale on Steam. The developer cited two core reasons: the Adobe Flash SDK the game relied on is no longer obtainable, making new builds impossible, and the original development team is no longer with the studio. They explicitly stated there is no viable path to a 1.0 release they would be satisfied with. The game has not received any updates since the June 2021 version 0.18 patch. The store confirms no purchase options are currently available, meaning the delisting has taken effect. Players who already own the game can still play it, but no new purchases are possible. Development has formally ended.
