Evaluation

Clutchtime™: Basketball Deckbuilder launched on July 24, 2025. Since release, Bigosaur has maintained a consistent pattern of substantive updates. The news posts available cover the period from April 19, 2025 (pre-launch feature update) through October 30, 2025, with the following post-launch updates identified: - July 31, 2025 (Update 2.5.5): Added player names on cards, display scaling options, balance changes, bug fixes, and modding improvements. - September 6, 2025 (Update 2.5.8): Added a Daily Challenge mode with special daily decks, unlock codes to transfer progress between Steam and Android, 2 new achievements, new language translations (German, Spanish, Basque). - September 11, 2025 (Update 2.6.1): Added Brazilian Portuguese translation, completed all translations to 100%, added a streak system to Daily Challenge. - September 30, 2025 (Update 2.6.5): Added a button to preview court state during reward selection, fixed controller detection with Proton 10, and several bug fixes. - October 30, 2025 (Update 2.7.0): Steam Deck Verified certification achieved, fixed controller bugs, and additional bug fixes. This establishes a sustained cadence of roughly one update every 2–5 weeks since launch. The updates have not been purely cosmetic or maintenance-only — they have introduced a full new game mode (Daily Challenge with streaks), cross-platform progress sharing, new achievements, and multiple language localizations. Today's date is September 24, 2026, and the most recent developer communication on record is October 30, 2025 — approximately 11 months ago. This silence now exceeds the established cadence window of roughly 2–5 weeks between updates and also surpasses the 6-month silence threshold. However, the data provided covers only 8 news posts, and the scan may not include all recent updates. The developer has not made any statement declaring development complete or announcing an end to support. Given the limited scan window and no explicit completion signal, the sustained development pattern from 2025 remains the best available evidence, though the prolonged silence since October 2025 is notable.

About this game

Clutchtime is a deck builder centered around basketball plays and team synergies.

Double Team your opponents and force Turnovers or create a dream team of Superstar shooters who Splash three pointers even while getting fouled.

Different game modes:

  • Elimination tournaments in true roguelike style, or

Random events happen during the season, which allow you to:

  • trade with other teams

  • upgrade cards

  • remove cards that don't fit your strategy

  • duplicate your favorite cards

  • and more...

You can also get team cards like:

  • Timeout,

  • to get a Tech.

Can you help your favorite team win the Championship?
