Evaluation
Cmoar VR Cinema launched on September 29, 2016 and received a handful of updates in its first two years. After the launch, the developer shipped a feature patch in October 2016 (v1.1), added a Halloween scenery update in late October 2016, and then released the largest update in the app's history — version 5.5 — on July 27, 2018, adding LAN/PLEX streaming, DLNA support, improved 360/180 video support, DVD disc navigation, and more. A follow-up post on August 5, 2018 confirmed the same 5.5 update had been mirrored to the Google Cardboard/Daydream version. That August 5, 2018 post is the last recorded developer communication of any kind. No further updates, announcements, roadmaps, or DLC have been posted since then. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no outstanding commitments, and no post-2018 developer activity. The game appears to have reached a stable, finished state as of the version 5.5 release cycle, with no signals of ongoing development.
Evidence
Version 5.5 pushed to Google Cardboard/Daydream; last recorded developer communication of any kind.
Version 5.5 released — described as 'the biggest update since 2016,' adding PLEX/DLNA support, 360/180 video improvements, DVD navigation, and more.
