Code Cracker launched on March 25, 2019 and has received a series of post-launch updates. The developer shipped two feature patches in January 2022 (versions 1.5.2 and 1.5.3), the latter adding a brand-new playable character, which represents the most recent direct update to this game. The developer's news posts since then have focused entirely on other games in the same shared universe — a new visual novel announced in February 2021 and a casino simulation game released in October 2022 — neither of which constitutes new content for Code Cracker itself. The developer made no announcements of upcoming Code Cracker content alongside these posts, and the game's one DLC (a soundtrack released on March 26, 2019) has long been available. The store description still carries placeholder "work in progress" language from 2019, but no concrete future content has been communicated for the game since January 2022. The developer's attention has clearly shifted to other titles. The last meaningful Code Cracker update was the January 14, 2022 patch, and with no new content signaled in over four years (through June 2026), the game appears to have reached its final state.

The protagonist's sibling (gender depending on the protagonist's gender you choose) committed suicide by falling from a building six years ago.
From that day on, the protagonist has lived in immense distress.
Soon after the SAT tests, the protagonist received an email from the deceased sibling, in which it was revealed that was never a simple suicide, and that the truth was hidden in Lianhai Technology University which they attended before they died.
How could a dead person send an email anyway?
To seek the truth, the protagonist applies the college that their sibling mentioned in the email and joined the Student Union that their sibling used to serve, which leads to a series of battles against the notorious hacker group C.O.D.E in the college...
During which, the protagonist find themselves getting closer and closer to the truth.
