Containment Corp, Inc. launched into Early Access on December 9, 2024. At launch, the developer — a two-person team — stated clearly that Early Access was their way of continually adding new maps, events, and features over time. They backed that up with an intense update cadence: roughly 13 feature patches from December 2024 through March 31, 2025, adding new weapons (Ranger Rifle, Shotgun, Machete), new enemy types (Corpse Eater, Gremlin, Weeper, Phasmaghast), difficulty modifiers, a revive system, a ranking system, and more. A patch on February 15, 2025 explicitly teased an "upcoming lore and boss enemy update," with mysterious locked areas already placed on each map — a clear signal that additional content was actively in development at that time. The last developer communication of any kind was the March 31, 2025 patch notes. Since then, through September 24, 2026 — nearly 18 months — there have been no updates, no news posts, and no public statements from the developer. The teased lore and boss content never shipped. This silence is dramatically out of step with the near-weekly cadence the developer had been maintaining. The game remains purchasable and in Early Access. The developer has not announced the end of development, but they have also not communicated anything at all for an extended period, leaving the status of promised content genuinely uncertain.
