Cook Serve Forever had a lengthy Early Access period during which the developer completely overhauled the game's codebase and gameplay systems. On April 29, 2025, the developer shipped update v0.95 and explicitly declared the game "content complete," with Nori's full story and all locations now playable. A final polish patch (v0.99.01) followed on May 30, 2025, adding custom keybinds and Steam Deck verification. The game then graduated to its full 1.0 release on July 31, 2025, launching simultaneously on PC and consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch). In the 1.0 launch post, the developer thanked the community for supporting what he called "the roughest Early Access period we've ever had" and explicitly shifted the studio's focus forward, stating: "Moving forward our development cycles will be much faster, and you can expect more on our next game, 'Cook, Serve, Delicious: Re-Mustard!' very soon, along with some other projects we have in the works." This was not a promise of further content for Cook Serve Forever — it was a clear handoff to the studio's next title. That next title, Cook, Serve, Delicious: Re-Mustard, was formally revealed with a trailer on March 27, 2026, confirming the studio has fully moved on. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced expansions, and no developer statements indicating further content is planned for Cook Serve Forever. The game launched as a complete package at 1.0 and the developer has not communicated any intention to return to it.
