About this game
CooKing: Around the World is a puzzle game about combining ingredients. You have a pantry, you have a menu full of question marks, and you have to work out what makes what.
Egg and oil? Fried egg. Flour, egg and milk? Batter — add chicken and oil, and that batter becomes fried chicken. So before you can finish a dish, you often have to create something that was never in your pantry to begin with.
Every discovery comes with a line of its own — over a hundred dishes, as many small jokes, more than a few of them puns.
What you cook in the game, you can cook tonight
Every dish you discover comes with a real, cookable recipe in the in-game cookbook. It isn't set dressing: that same fried chicken works in your own kitchen.
Eight kitchens, puzzles that keep growing
The very first restaurant already has two- and three-ingredient dishes, plus ones that need an intermediate ingredient first.
Every kitchen starts you off with a fresh pantry, and the further you get, the less obvious it is what makes what: anyone can guess a hamburger; a Yorkshire pudding, less so. The recipes stay with you — once you've worked something out, you'll still know it on the next menu, you'll just have to put it together again. And some dishes that were the finished product on one menu turn out to be a single ingredient on the next.
Each kitchen holds 10-12 dishes, over a hundred in total, from fast-food burgers to French and Hungarian classics — around 5-6 hours of play.
Nothing is rushing you
No timer. No health bar. No burning pans, no onion chopping, no dishes to wash. Take as long as you like on a dish. And if you do get truly stuck, the hint system is there: you can ask for help on any single dish, so you'll never be stuck for good halfway through a menu.
