Corruption of Champions II is an actively developed Early Access erotic text-based RPG that has been receiving consistent, substantial content updates since its August 2020 launch. The development team continues to ship major content at a steady cadence throughout 2025 and 2026. The most recent patches confirm ongoing development toward a 1.0 release. On July 24, 2026, the developer introduced Tychris, the City of Sorcery — a large new settlement described as a "very, very massive project" that multiple writers had been working on for much of the year. The patch notes explicitly stated that the main quest tied to this area ("The Princess's Dilemma") cannot yet be completed, as numerous NPCs and plot elements remain to be added across future updates. The August 1, 2026 patch continued the Tychris rollout with a new NPC, and the developer noted they were finishing writing for additional quest-critical characters and would begin working on the quest's resolution. The April 22, 2026 patch introduced the Coastlands, described as the game's last planned explorable zone, but also explicitly listed four sub-areas within it that are not yet accessible and will be rolled out in future updates: Khor Elthos, a cultist encampment tied to the Champion Quest "At the Edge of the World," Prince Vrannus's estate, and the lair of Saltmantle (an optional dungeon). The February 2026 patch notes also confirmed that a special ending currently displays a placeholder message that will be updated to fork into the true ending when version 1.0 releases, meaning the game's conclusion is still unfinished. The developer's communication has been frequent, transparent, and consistent: every major patch includes explicit notes about what content is still coming, and the team has maintained a regular release schedule with no periods of silence. There is no indication that development is slowing or concluding — quite the opposite, as the lead developer was actively writing new content as of the most recent post.
