Cosmodrill launched on July 6, 2026 as a complete 1.0 release. The day after launch, the developer (Jonas, solo at Morse Morse Games) acknowledged player feedback about content volume and committed to two free additions: a Mission Mode with 12 timed missions, and an additional biome for the main game. The Mission Mode shipped quickly — a beta test went live on July 13, 2026, and the full public release followed on July 15, 2026. That announcement confirmed the main game biome update was still to come and would take additional time. On July 31, 2026, the developer posted a detailed preview of the upcoming main game content: a new ice biome, additional enemies, and a story continuation in which the player tracks down a rogue AI after the events of the current ending. The developer noted they are looking forward to letting players test the content "soon." This confirms active development on the promised main game expansion, which has not yet shipped as of today (September 15, 2026).

Drill deep into planets and asteroids, mine valuable resources and discover what's hidden deep beneath the surface. Upgrade your drill to dig deeper, fly further and defy increasingly powerful enemies!

After you activated a mysterious mechanism during a routine mining operation, it teleported you to an unknown star system. It's up to you to follow the emergency signals to the other space stations, defeat the ominous hostile ships and reveal the secret of the alien structures buried inside the planets.
