Crimson Moon launched on September 1, 2026. Before launch, the developer announced a Deluxe Edition that explicitly includes a "Post-launch Expansion" as one of its bundled items — a paid content commitment that has not yet been delivered. Since launch, the developer has been communicating actively and shipping updates at a rapid pace: a keybinding patch (1.0.0.1) on September 3, Hotfix 1.0.1 on September 11, and the substantial Hotfix 1.0.2 on September 30, 2026, which addressed hundreds of issues across saves, co-op, combat, crashes, and more. On October 2, 2026 — today — the General Manager of Team Metal published a one-month update post directly confirming that new content is coming. The post includes work-in-progress teaser images and states: "Beyond Patch 1.1, there's more coming to Gildenarch, including new content, and over the coming weeks we'll begin peeling back the curtain on what we've been working on." Patch 1.1 itself is also confirmed for October 2026, bringing save system rework and quality-of-life improvements. Both the undelivered Deluxe Edition expansion and the developer's explicit, freshly published statement about upcoming new content make clear that additional content is planned and actively in development. The team is communicating regularly and the next update is already confirmed.
