Evaluation

Crisis: The Third Way is a free-to-play visual novel that launched on December 20, 2025. The store page explicitly states that English and Chinese localizations are "currently under development," meaning the developer has directly communicated that additional work is still in progress and has not yet shipped. The game otherwise presents as a complete narrative product — featuring around 1,000 backgrounds, original music, and 10 distinct endings — but the in-progress localizations represent developer-communicated forthcoming content. There are no news posts or DLC listings to analyze, so the store page statement remains the key signal. As of today (September 17, 2026), that statement has not been updated or retracted, and no developer communication has confirmed the localizations have shipped.
Evidence

About this game

The game takes place in 2034, eight years after World War III. Amid the ruins of the old world, new leaders, the European Economic Cooperation (EEC) and Communist China, are vying for global domination, drawing ever more countries into the conflict. The story of one of these countries is the focus of the novel.

The Ural Republic, a country that emerged from the ruins of Russia, has been drawn into a bloody conflict. Now the country's fate depends not only on the will of its leaders, but also on the will of an ordinary man, namely, Yevgeny Krylov, a junior sergeant in the Special Order Control Service (SSKP) and the game's protagonist.

As Yevgeny, you will decide whether the Urals will remain a loyal ally of Europe in the fight against the spreading threat of communism or side with China in the confrontation with the new empire represented by the EEC. But is it really necessary to choose? Is it worth interfering in the course of world history? The choice is yours.

Are you, as a little person, ready to take on such responsibility and follow your chosen path to the end?

Features:

- Original music.

- Around 1,000 backgrounds, all created in an original style.
