CROPS!

CROPS! launched on July 17, 2024 and received a very active stream of updates throughout its first year: major content drops including the Duos multiplayer mode (November 13, 2024), the Cropsmas seasonal update (December 1, 2024), the Fungus Update (January 7, 2025), and Season 3 (February 14, 2025), along with frequent feature patches and balance changes. The developer maintained a release cadence of major content roughly every 4–8 weeks, with the most recent feature patch arriving on April 13, 2025. On April 29, 2025, the developer announced a demo for a new game called Oaken Tower and explicitly wrote: "Don't worry — this doesn't mean I'll stop creating content for CROPS!" This was a clear statement of intent to continue support. However, as of September 24, 2026, there have been no developer communications of any kind since that April 29, 2025 post — a silence of more than 17 months. This is dramatically out of step with the previously consistent update pattern, which never saw gaps longer than about 6–8 weeks. No final update announcement has been made, and the intent to continue was stated, but the lack of any follow-through or communication since that date raises genuine uncertainty about whether active development is ongoing.
