Evaluation

Crystal Rift launched into Early Access on April 20, 2015 and officially left Early Access on March 30, 2016 with version 1.2.4. At that point, the developer explicitly stated: "We have now left Early Access! We don't intend to stop supporting Crystal Rift however, we have got to the stage where the main game is content complete and we are happy with it." This is a direct developer statement confirming the game's content was considered complete at launch. A final maintenance patch (version 1.2.9) followed on May 20, 2016 to address minor bugs and VR controller improvements, and no further updates have been posted since. The most recent developer news post (April 2, 2025) is an announcement for a completely separate, new game called Titan Isles — it contains no mention of Crystal Rift receiving new content and does not affect the completion status of this title. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmaps, and no announcements of future content for Crystal Rift. The game shipped as a complete 26-level dungeon crawler and has remained that way.
Evidence
Developer explicitly states the game has left Early Access and is 'content complete,' while noting they want freedom to make new games.
