Crystarise entered Early Access on April 27, 2023 as a 2D open-world action RPG, with the developer explicitly listing planned additions including story content, new biomes, new actions, and multiplayer expansion. The game has received two major content updates since launch: Ver. 0.2.0 on November 22, 2023 (a new Japanese-motif biome, bosses, objects, and system improvements) and Ver. 0.2.10 in June 2024 (new crystal collection system, nearly 100 objects, new dungeons and monsters, and achievements). Alongside these, the team has shipped roughly 22 smaller patches addressing bugs and feature refinements.
Importantly, the Ver. 0.2.10 announcement on June 4, 2024 explicitly stated that Ver. 0.3 would add a main scenario and adventure in a new world — core story content that the game still lacks. However, since then the developer has only posted two small bug-fix patches (Ver. 0.2.11 in June 2024 and Ver. 0.2.16 in October 2024), followed by one more bug fix (Ver. 0.2.17) on June 24, 2025. As of June 21, 2026, there has been no developer communication in approximately 12 months, no sign of Ver. 0.3, and no update on the status of the promised story content.
The game remains at version 0.2.x in Early Access, significantly short of the full release the developer outlined. The long silence following a specific content promise raises real questions about whether development is continuing as planned.

"Crystarise" is an open-world action RPG that combines field exploration action and base customization simulation, and allows players to grow a floating island.
◆The adventure takes place on the "Floating Island" and the "Continent"
In order to develop the base "Floating Island", you will go down to the "Continent" in search of resources.
In the endless world, monsters, dungeons, frigid snowfields and scorching hot deserts, and various other threats will be waiting for you.
Make full use of any combination of actions to search for unknown resources beyond the threats.
You can also move freely between the two worlds and resume your adventure from the same place at any time.
In between adventures, you can make preparations in the store, harvest crops from the fields, develop the island with the resources you have obtained...
You can utilize the "sky island" whenever you like and advance your adventures at your own pace.

In the course of your adventures, you may obtain various types of furniture "mono".
By placing things on the sky island, you can gain various powers that will help you in your adventures.
