Cube Escape Collection

The Cube Escape Collection is an anthology package that launched on October 14, 2020, bundling nine previously released Flash-era Cube Escape chapters (Seasons, The Lake, Arles, Harvey's Box, Case 23, The Mill, Birthday, Theatre, and The Cave) into a single Steam release. The store page explicitly states: "These games do not contain any new content from their original versions (besides achievements, a new hint system and translations)!" This makes the collection a preservation/archival product with a fixed, defined scope — all nine chapters were included at launch and no additional chapters or new content have been promised for this specific collection. Developer news posts since launch have been primarily sales announcements, with Rusty Lake announcing new standalone games in their universe (The Past Within, Underground Blossom, and the upcoming Servant of the Lake). None of these posts indicate any plans to add new content to the Cube Escape Collection itself. The studio is clearly active and continuing to develop new Rusty Lake titles, but the Collection is a self-contained finished product. The most recent developer post (April 21, 2026) celebrated Rusty Lake's 11th anniversary and announced a launch date of August 2026 for the new game Servant of the Lake — further confirming the studio is healthy and productive, while having no bearing on the Collection's content status.
