Evaluation

CUCCCHI launched on July 30, 2021 as an artistic exploration game inspired by the paintings of Enzo Cucchi. Since launch, Fantastico Studio has released two major free content updates: the 2022 Collection (July 21, 2022), which added 3 new levels, 27 artworks, and 5 audio tracks; and a second update on May 22, 2025, which added 2 more levels and 20 new artworks. These two updates are separated by nearly three years, establishing a very long but recurring update pattern. In the April 29, 2025 announcement for the second update, the developer explicitly framed CUCCCHI as "a living archive — a space where Enzo Cucchi's artistic legacy continues to grow and evolve," signaling an ongoing intent to expand the game beyond any single release. The store description has also been updated to reflect the expanded content (now listing 10 levels and 78 hidden objects, up from the original 7 areas and 51 objects). As of October 1, 2026, the last major update was May 22, 2025 — approximately 16 months ago. Given the established cadence of roughly 3 years between major updates, 16 months of silence falls well within that historical window. No developer statement has announced the conclusion of development, and the "living archive" framing remains the most recent statement of intent.
