Cuit launched on April 24, 2017 as a paid puzzle game. The developer shipped a couple of patches in the weeks following launch, adding UI improvements, copy/paste functionality in the level editor, and resolution fixes. After that brief post-launch period, development went quiet. On February 7, 2019, the developer posted a candid update explaining that they no longer had time to support the game and converted it to free-to-play. The post acknowledged the UI still needed work but stated clearly that they had not been supporting it "for quite a while already." The developer left the door open to someday returning or creating a sequel, but made no concrete commitments. This is the last official communication from the studio. The only DLC — the official soundtrack — shipped on the same day as the game and has been available since launch. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap, and no announced future content. The game is complete as it stands, with development having effectively concluded by February 2019.
