Evaluation
Cyberpong launched on April 28, 2016 and received a steady stream of updates through its first several months — adding features like a level editor with Steam Workshop integration, weekly leaderboards, spectator tools, multiplayer AI, and language support. The last developer communication was a brief announcement on October 14, 2016 teasing an upcoming new character. However, no follow-up post ever confirmed that character shipped, and no further updates of any kind have been posted since that date. The game has been silent for nearly a decade. The store description describes the game as a complete product with defined modes (single player endless, multiplayer matches, power-ups), and there are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The new character teaser from October 2016 was the last known developer activity, and with no subsequent delivery or further communication in the years since, there is no ongoing development to speak of. The game appears to have launched as a finished casual VR title and quietly concluded its update cycle in late 2016.
Evidence
Developer teased an incoming new character, pointing players to the official Twitter for clues. This is the last known communication from the developer.
Update #9 added weekly leaderboards and performance optimizations — the last confirmed patch to ship.
