Dead Acres

Dead Acres (rebranded as Farmocalypse) is no longer available for purchase on Steam — the store listing has no active purchase options. The game remains in Early Access and was never completed. The game launched in November 2015 and received one major content update in March 2016 (the Rush Hour level). After that, development became erratic: the lead programmer went missing in late 2017, the developer was splitting attention with another title (Dark Deception), and promised features like Stone Cold, multiplayer, and a 1.0 launch repeatedly slipped. Multiplayer did ship in August 2017, but the Stone Cold campaign level — promised as imminent in mid-2017 — never appears to have been released. In July 2019, the developer announced a full reboot of the project under the name Farmocalypse, modeled after how Dark Deception was rebooted. That July 2019 post is the last developer communication on record. No further updates, patches, or content releases have been posted since then, and the game can no longer be purchased. The store description still describes the game as an Early Access product with unfinished content — multiple campaign levels, over 300 enemies, vehicles, and a full story mode were all listed as planned but never delivered.
