Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster launched on September 18, 2024 as a full graphical overhaul of the original Dead Rising, built on the RE ENGINE with quality-of-life improvements and full voice acting. Post-launch, Capcom issued a title update on November 8, 2024 adding a free demo, Arabic text support, and a new Casual difficulty mode. On April 24–25, 2025, Capcom released the remaining DLC — four music packs and a promotional song track — that had previously been available only as pre-order bonuses. All five DLC items are now released and available on the store. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no developer statements indicating further updates or expansions are planned. With only a single major content event (the pre-order DLC becoming publicly available) and no roadmap or ongoing content cadence, the game appears to have shipped as a complete remaster with its content now fully delivered as of April 25, 2025.

Frank West, a freelance journalist, smells a scoop and finds his way into the only shopping mall in town.
Unfortunately, the mall had turned into a living hell, crawling with countless zombies.
Help will arrive in 72 hours, so it's up to him to find out the truth behind this incident before it's too late!

All of the graphics, including the characters and environments, have been renewed, and greatly improved over the original.
Character's facial expressions, material textures, and blood spatter all look much more realistic.
Overwhelming hordes of zombies fill the screen with completely remade graphics!

The gameplay of the original remains intact, but there are various quality-of-life improvements, such as auto-saving, revamped controls, improved UI, and many other details.
The game is now also fully voiced for improved immersion.
