Deck of Souls launched into Early Access on June 20, 2024, following a publicly shared roadmap that outlined five planned updates leading to a full release. The developer delivered on that roadmap: updates added new enemies, equipment, difficulty modifiers, permanent upgrades, and additional story chapters. On December 10, 2024, the game officially launched out of Early Access with its final update, which added Chapter 5 (the story finale), the ultimate boss Satan, five sub-bosses, and a new biome. The launch post explicitly stated "Deck of Souls is now complete." There has been no announcement of post-launch DLC, additional content, or further development. The game launched as a finished, self-contained product, completing the full scope outlined during Early Access.
