Evaluation

Depths Of Horror: Mushroom Day is a free-to-play first-person horror game that launched on June 16, 2021. The developer shipped a feature patch (Version 1.5.0) on April 1, 2026, updating movement speed, graphics, and environment elements — the most recent update to the game itself. The only other notable major content signal in the news feed is from April 6, 2026, which turned out to be an announcement for a separate game (Anomaly 404) by the same developer, not new content for Mushroom Day. The December 30, 2021 developer post mentioned two projects under development at that time, but that general statement was made over four years ago and has since been superseded by the subsequent activity — including the launch of Anomaly 404, which appears to be the studio's current focus. Looking at the full history, Mushroom Day has received only one major content update and one feature patch in its lifetime. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap, and no developer statements promising additional content for this game. The studio's recent energy is directed toward Anomaly 404. The April 1, 2026 patch appears to be routine maintenance/polish rather than a signal of ongoing new content development. With no outstanding commitments and no sustained pattern of major content releases, the game can be considered a complete, self-contained product.
Evidence
Developer announced the launch of a separate game, Anomaly 404 — not new content for Mushroom Day. This suggests the studio's development focus has moved to a new project.
