Destined to Die

Destined to Die launched on July 13, 2021 as a free-to-play game with a focused scope: 1–3 hours of playtime, over 200 pieces of artwork, and a complete narrative experience. In the weeks following launch, the developer shipped several small patches addressing balance, bugs, and minor feature additions. Both DLC items — cosmetic wallpapers and raw art assets — were released around launch in early July 2021 and are fully available. On January 21, 2023, the developer published a post explicitly describing a large game rework as "one last fix," framing it as the final development effort on the game. That update added customization options, improved feedback systems, and enhanced learning objectives. No further developer communications, patches, or content announcements have been made since that date. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained product, and the developer has clearly communicated that the January 2023 rework was the conclusion of their work on it.
