The original Dfiance game has been shut down and can no longer be purchased or played. As of May 18, 2026, the developer officially launched a rebuilt and rebranded successor game called "Dfiance: Dominance" on Steam, and simultaneously shut down the original Dfiance servers. The store page for the original game now explicitly states: "The original DFIANCE page has been discontinued, and its servers are no longer available." No purchase options remain for this version of the game. This transition was telegraphed well in advance. On November 22, 2025, the developer announced a full engine migration to Unity and a 6-month rebuild. On December 17, 2025, they confirmed the new version was planned for 2026 under the VoidSpark brand. On April 27, 2026, a new Steam page for "Dfiance: Dominance" went live, and on May 18, 2026, the rebuilt version launched and the original was officially retired. All future development and updates are happening exclusively in Dfiance: Dominance. The original Dfiance is no longer supported, no longer sold, and no longer playable.
