Evaluation

Digimon Story Time Stranger launched on October 2, 2025 and has received a steady stream of content since. The Season Pass included three Episode Packs, all of which shipped on schedule: Episode Pack 1 'Alternate Dimension' on December 8, 2025, Episode Pack 2 'GAKU-RAN' on January 21, 2026, and Episode Pack 3 'Anti-ParadoX' on March 11, 2026. A free update followed on July 9, 2026, adding a new playable character (Terriermon Assistant), Photo Mode, and a Digivolution Conditions screen. Most significantly, on September 3, 2026, the developer announced a full expansion: "A Hero's Eternal Legacy." This expansion will add unexplored lands in the Digital World: Iliad, 50+ additional Digimon, and a new story — and is slated to arrive in 2027. This announcement makes clear that further content is coming, so the game is not yet complete.
