Evaluation
Dimension Drive launched out of Early Access on December 7, 2017, after more than three years of development. The 1.0 launch post (December 10, 2017) celebrated the full release and noted that "more updates and improvements are to come," which was delivered on: a rank system and graphics overhaul in February 2018, and a localization update adding Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese on July 26, 2018. That July 2018 update is the last recorded developer communication of any kind. No further patches, announcements, or developer posts have appeared since then. The only DLC ever released is the game's soundtrack, which shipped on February 8, 2018. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store, no announced roadmap or future content, and no developer statement about ongoing plans. The sole major post-launch news item (June 2021) was 2Awesome Studio announcing their next game, Aeon Drive — a spiritual successor — rather than any new content for Dimension Drive itself. With developer communications ending on July 26, 2018 and no content commitments outstanding, the game is complete as a finished product.
Evidence
Second post-launch update adding Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese localization, plus bug fixes. This is the last developer communication on record.
Developer announces official 1.0 launch out of Early Access, listing all features added during the EA period and noting that more updates and improvements are to come.
