Evaluation

DinoBones: Tidy Up the Museum launched on September 25, 2026, after a brief delay from its original September 22 date. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained experience featuring nine dinosaur skeletons (1,941 bones), a museum cat, a Polaroid camera, hidden secrets, and 30 achievements across Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon), and Linux. The developer has been highly responsive since launch, shipping multiple hotfixes and feature patches on launch day (September 25), a display/FOV update on September 26, and a substantial v5.10 update on September 27 — all addressing player-reported bugs and quality-of-life issues. This is active, engaged post-launch support, but all of it has been maintenance and polish rather than new content. A pre-launch news post from August 31, 2026 noted that "the collection is bigger than ever, and we are far from done," and teased that "the next surprise is already being unpacked." However, this was a pre-launch wishlist milestone post, and it's plausible this language was referring to the game's own expanding dinosaur roster (which grew from 4 to 9 dinosaurs before launch) rather than post-launch DLC. No DLC has been listed on the store, and no post-launch roadmap or content announcement has been made. Because the game only released two days ago, there is simply not enough post-launch history to assess whether additional content updates will follow. The developer has shown a strong commitment to player feedback and rapid iteration, but no specific future content has been announced.

About this game

Museum messed up! Something happened here. Crates are tipped over, and skulls, ribs, and vertebrae lie scattered across the halls. You're the only one around to put nine skeletons back together. Well, you and a cat.

TURN CHAOS INTO ORDER

Collect - Pick up bones from the floor, the stairs, and wherever the crates spilled them

Identify - Every bone starts as “Unknown”. Figure out which skeleton it belongs to

Assemble - Find the right slot and click it into place, one bone at a time

MAKE A MESS, LEARN THE BONES

Open crates, tip them over, or just throw them, and start rebuilding. Each dinosaur's bones have their own look, color, texture, wear, and the more you place them, the faster you recognize them. No skill trees, no upgrades. Just you getting better.

WAKE UP THE MUSEUM

As skeletons come together, you'll trigger special events around the museum. Each one leaves something behind: little rewards, toys, and surprises that make the place feel like yours.
