Diorama Builder launched its 1.0 version on June 22, 2024, alongside two paid DLC packs (Medieval Castle and Noir City). Since then, Virtual Arts Studio has maintained a consistent cadence of new themed DLC releases: Mars Colony (July 29, 2024), Secret Bunker (November 5, 2024), The Museum (July 25, 2025), and Pirate Isle (December 16, 2025). That is six DLC packs shipped across roughly 18 months, with gaps between major releases ranging from about 2 to 8 months. The developer has continued to support the game with feature patches and bug fixes throughout, most recently Update 1.2.5 on March 10, 2026. The historical gap between the last two major DLC releases — The Museum (July 25, 2025) to Pirate Isle (December 16, 2025) — was approximately 5 months. The gap from Pirate Isle (December 16, 2025) to today (September 17, 2026) is now about 9 months, which is starting to exceed the longer end of the established release cadence. However, the developer has made no announcement concluding DLC development, and the last developer communication of any kind was on March 10, 2026 — about 6 months ago. This sits right at the boundary of the silence threshold given the historical cadence. On balance, the developer has established a sustained pattern of major content releases across more than two years with no statement of completion, so the game continues to be assessed as receiving ongoing content updates. The situation will warrant revisiting if another full cadence window passes without communication or a new release.
