Evaluation

D'LIRIUM launched out of Early Access on October 25, 2023 and has been consistently supported since. The developer shipped a major New Year's update (v1.1.0) in December 2023, a substantial v1.3.0 in December 2024 — which added gamepad support, redrew cinematics, expanded the mapping toolkit, and split a level into two variations — and has continued with a steady stream of v1.4.x patches into early 2026, the most recent on February 17, 2026. A developer post from February 1, 2026 provides an unusually candid look at the team's current structure: one developer (PekpyT) is focused on building a new game engine for a future title called "The Golden Rogue," while the other (Grif_on) is handling ongoing D'LIRIUM maintenance, bugfixes, and tooling improvements. The team also released a direct Android port of the game on July 23, 2025. No specific future content for D'LIRIUM (new levels, story expansions, DLC) has been announced, but the developer has not declared the game complete either, and patches continue to arrive. The February 2026 developer update explicitly notes the team is "still being with us" and Grif_on remains dedicated to bugfixing and releasing updates for D'LIRIUM. Both released DLC items are soundtracks (from 2017 and 2019), and no unreleased DLC is listed.
Evidence
Developer update confirms one team member (Grif_on) is solely responsible for D'LIRIUM bugfixing and updates, while the other (PekpyT) is building a new engine for future projects. The team states they are still actively supporting the game.

v1.3.0 major update shipped: gamepad support added, crystal caves split into two level variations, cinematics redrawn, mapper toolkit expanded, and extensive bugfixes. Described internally as 'another final update,' suggesting the team did not plan it as a content expansion but it represents significant new features.

About this game

"To find yourself in a new, unknown world - it's like standing face-to-face with a monster. And so many forget: to that world, they are just as much of a monster."

During the New Year's Eve, the curator of a mansion built on the outskirts of a town invites his protege and her friends to celebrate the New Year together. He gives her an unusual gift. The gift that is never meant to be opened. And only a powerful mage such as her can keep it shut. It and what it holds within. At least, that's what the Curator thought...

D'LIRIUM is an experimental 2D-shooter with the elements of a horror game. The game brings together some mechanics back from 90s classics, such as a search for the keys, non-linear levels and a lot of other things. Moreover, the game contains a lot of experimental tricks, such as random events, non-traditional controls for a shooter game, etc.
