Evaluation

Dog and Goblin launched on November 14, 2024 with an explicit list of planned future content: new enemies and cards, four new challenge modes, and an Endless Mode. The developer delivered on all of these commitments in quick succession. On December 11, 2024, three new challenge modes were added. On December 27, 2024, a major update brought Endless Mode, Creative Workshop (mod support), and new cards. A patch on February 25, 2025 fixed a bug and noted the temporary removal of the Mods feature due to plugin problems. That February 25, 2025 update is the last developer communication on record. Since then — through September 24, 2026 — there has been no developer post of any kind. The most recent news item (September 29, 2025) is a Steam Autumn Sale discount announcement, which is a storefront promotion, not a developer update. No new content, patches, roadmaps, or developer statements have appeared in the roughly 19 months since the February 2025 patch. The launch-day roadmap commitments (new enemies/cards, challenge modes, Endless Mode) were all fulfilled by December 27, 2024. No new commitments were announced after that. With all promised content shipped and no developer communication since February 25, 2025, the game appears to have concluded its post-launch content cycle.

About this game

Waking up, I realize I’m the villain?!

In this game, you're not a human hero anymore. Instead, you can freely assemble a mixed army of fighters, mages, beasts, demons, and more to destroy human castles and become the true "Demon King."

Hundreds of Units and Dozens of Playstyles to Mix and Match

The game currently features nearly 150 units, with gameplay inspired by inventory management and card synergies. For example, meat can boost a beast's attack power, and pairing hunters with beasts can provide a higher attack bonus.

You can also use imps summoned by warlocks to nourish the great demons, or have engineers build powerful crossbows. Almost every unit has a corresponding synergy, and there are dozens of playstyles waiting to be explored. Try different strategies to clear the game—you might find some unexpected surprises!

1+1 > 4? Outrageous Unit Synergies

The game's hundreds of units feature various mysterious synergies and chemical reactions, regardless of type or rarity. Goblin + Silver = Goblin Merchant, Goblin + Gold = Alchemist, Orc Infantry + Wolf = Wolf Rider. There are even more outrageous yet logical unit synergies waiting for you to discover!

Dog and Goblin: The Game That Will Steal Your Time

The game features auto-battler mechanics, requiring no complex controls. With hundreds of units, dozens of playstyles, and many unique unit synergies, you’ll find plenty to explore. The game also offers different characters, difficulty levels, and modes to choose from. Get ready to experience the thrill and excitement that this game brings!
