Dokkaebi Hentai Adventures launched on February 28, 2018 as a small indie platformer. The developer shipped two post-launch updates, both adding levels: Update 1 on September 9, 2018 added 2 levels, and Update 2 on November 11, 2018 added 2 more levels via the DLC menu. The only DLC (the game's OST) was released on launch day. There have been no developer communications of any kind since November 11, 2018 — over seven years of silence. No future content has been announced, no roadmap exists, and the update history shows no activity after the second update. The game appears to have shipped as a compact, finished product with its post-launch level additions representing the complete scope of content the developer intended to deliver.

Anime-girl Dokkaebi, as usual, watched the anime after school. But, after she watched the series, Dokkaebi noticed that she was in a totally different world. At first she thought it was a dream, but immediately, as chicken and head of lolly anime girls appeared, she realized that it was not a dream, but the world she deserved.
